A dataset or the API?

Dataset — history in bulk

A file of past and current lots you buy once and keep. For analysis, pricing models and research.

  • Every lot that matches your filters, in one CSV or JSON Lines file
  • Priced per row, once — no subscription, no credits
  • Yours to use commercially, inside your organisation

API — live answers

Query the catalogue as it changes, from your own app. For products that need today's lots.

  • Search, lot detail, VIN history and market stats on demand
  • Webhooks the moment a matching lot is listed
  • Metered in credits, with a monthly allowance in every plan

Build your dataset

Choose the auctions, the period and anything else that narrows it. The row count and the price update as you go, and a free 100-row preview shows exactly what you will get.

Questions and answers

Where does the data come from?

From the auctions' own public listings and inventory feeds, recorded by SalvageAlert as they are published and kept after the sale. SalvageAlert is independent and not affiliated with Copart or IAA.

How fast is the file delivered?

The file is written as soon as the payment is confirmed — usually within minutes, a few more for millions of rows. The receipt page shows the progress and we email you the link.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes, inside your organisation: analysis, models, internal tools and products built on it. Reselling or republishing the rows as a dataset is not allowed.

Will the rows change after I buy?

Your file is a snapshot of the lots that matched when you paid, with the values we held then. Buy again later for a fresh one, or use the API for live data.

Which formats do you deliver?

CSV or JSON Lines, gzip-compressed. Both carry the same fields, with dates in ISO 8601 UTC and prices in the lot's own currency.

I need a full dump or a daily feed.
